Bow season starts Oct.1. This will be the first bow season in 5 yrs. becouse of different surgeries. I'm PUMPED to get out their!!!!!

Dude.... I bet you are PUMPED! Good to hear you healthy enough for this season. Did you shoot a crossbow in that 5 year span? I've shot one several times and they are a blast as well. My pops shot one when he develop a shoulder injury and he loved it as well.

No In Iowa you have to have a permanent Injury to be able to shoot a crossbow. I've had to sit on the sidelines.But I was able to shootgun hunt.

I only live about 20 miles from where I hunt. Its really cool because I hunt real close to the Buddy Holly, Richy Valens & the Big Boper crash site 10 miles N of Clear Lake.

What a cool place to call home for hunting. Is it difficult to get archery tags in Iowa if you're not a resident? Those deer up there are huge and I'd love to be able to get up there one day.

Michael, where are you hunting this year. You probably don't have to go far living in Iowa. I've done work in Carroll, Iowa before are you anywhere close to there? Thanks again for joining this site.
